Attention World Language Teachers! Have you created a Transparent Language Online (TLO) teacher account? Do you need assistance navigating this digital resource? TLO Open Office hours are now over, but the recordings are available.

Individual teacher licenses have been added to INFOhio's subscription to Transparent Language Online. Individual teacher licenses allow teachers to assign lessons, run reports, and track student progress.

This resource is licensed through the RemotEDx initiative and will be accessible through the RemotEDx Exchange website and the INFOhio website.

INFOhio has a new online, self-paced class added to the 6-12 Digital Content Learning Pathway. Take The World Almanac for Kids class to support middle-grade students as they locate information in the digital resource. After successfully completing the final quiz, earn a certificate for two contact hours.

INFOhio Acquires GenYES Student Technology Leadership Platforms and Instructional Content for Ohio Schools

INFOhio has revised and updated the Building Your Digital Curriculum with INFOhio OER Learning Pathway. It has transitioned to High-Quality Instructional Materials for Each Child Learning Pathway and has a new class called High-Quailty Instructional Materials to Supplement Your Curriculum. 

In this class, learn more about what makes instructional materials high-quality, including those labeled Open Educational Resources (OER). Participants will learn why instructional materials matter and where to find high-quality instructional materials to supplement curricula. The class includes a focus on curriculum literacy and the use of the Ohio Curriculum Support Guide. Earn a certificate for 5 contact hours after successfully completing the final quiz.

Transparent Language Online (TLO) is a web-based learning platform with over 100 languages, including English. INFOhio offers over 1200 fiction and nonfiction eBooks for Ohio’s 3rd - 6th graders through Scholastic’s Storia. This reading resource allows teachers to create classes and assign specific titles to groups or individuals based on their reading levels and preferences. Students can also browse the titles and choose books to read on their own. Teachers can check in and monitor the progress made by students, viewing reports with statistics including number of pages and minutes read. The books also have an end of the book quiz where student knowledge is tested and teachers can check for comprehension.
