Choice boards are a helpful tool for instruction, supporting and engaging students with options for how to learn new content. INFOhio visual choice boards include eBooks and videos that provide differentiation for students of all ages.
Explore careers that match student interest with these Career Cluster choice boards. According to the OhioMeansJobs website, Career Clusters are, "typical paths by which an individual might reach employment in a certain occupation. While they are by no means the only way to become employed in a given occupation, they offer a general guideline. While these career pathways are organized by their primary industry, it should also be noted that career pathways and occupations can be found across multiple industries." To encourage students to discover careers and jobs of interest have them begin by taking this Career Finder Quiz, then they can use the choice boards that match their quiz results.
Each choice board is created using Google Slides. Students simply click on the tile of the eBook or video that interests them to learn more about the career.
Career Choice Boards by Cluster
You can find the choice boards by doing a keyword search in Educator Tools for “choice board.” The results yield more than 60 choice boards on science, social studies, art, creativity, and literature topics.
To share choice boards with students. First, click the blue i button in the top right corner of the choice board you want to share. Then, click the red LMS/Direct Link and share the link that appears in the pop-up window.
