INFOhio is happy to announce that ScienceFlix from Scholastic is now available as a licensed resource to all Ohio students, educators, and families. This digital resource for grades 6-8 features more than 70 complete units of study on the topics of science, technology, engineering, and math.
It is easy to browse for content in ScienceFlix as the content is organized by scientific branch.
Each topic features a video and article to learn more about the content. It also includes extended learning activities like the Science Lab, What Do You Think?, and Show What You Know.
There is also additional content that can be paired with the science units in three additional tabs: Experiments, Science News, and Careers in Science. In the Careers in Science tab browse the alphabetical listing of more than 60 careers and learn the expectations of the career, median pay, education, and job outlook.

Sarah Mowery is a Professional Instructional Specialist with INFOhio. She has worked in education for 16 years as a school librarian and technology coach in elementary and middle school settings. While in these roles, she's been an integral part of the building leadership teams working as a curriculum connector and integrating web-based tools. She earned a BA in Sociology from Bowling Green State University and an MLS with a specialization in PK-12 schools from East Carolina University. Sarah was one of the original INFOhio ICoaches when the program first began in 2013 and has a passion for sharing how INFOhio resources can transform teaching and impact learning for students and educators across the state of Ohio.
