Author // Mary Rowland Monday, 05 October 2020

Find new ways to empower your students to be creators of their own learning by integrating digital storytelling into standards-aligned projects with INFOhio's Book Nook. In Book Nook teachers and school librarians will find recommended web tools, lesson plans, and other resources that make it easy to get started with book trailer creation in your school library or classroom. Design book trailers using a variety of electronic devices and digital platforms, meeting your students learning needs in face-to-face, blended, or remote learning classrooms and school libraries. By creating a book trailer, students learn about point of view, tone, and theme. Throughout the digital creation process, students practice citing and attributing the works of creators and authors; these are valuable skills for 21st-century learners.

Are your students looking for a good book? Book Nook includes hundreds of student-created book trailers for fiction and nonfiction books grades K–12. Students can find their next favorite book by searching for titles by keyword or Lexile level.
