INFOhio, Ohio’s PreK-12 Digital Library, supports educators statewide by providing quality digital content, web tools, and professional development at no cost. Through our train-the-trainer INFOhio ICoach program, teacher leaders learn to integrate INFOhio’s digital content into instruction using our Learning Pathways training curriculum. Educators build capacity as teacher leaders by offering professional development opportunities for their own schools and districts on INFOhio tools and resources. INFOhio empowers Ohio educators to become teacher leaders by expanding their professional learning network through our ICoach train-the-trainer program.
Every quarter, INFOhio will be featuring the amazing work of INFOhio ICoaches across the state. Not only are INFOhio ICoaches trained to share INFOhio’s quality resources with their schools and districts, but they are also champions of equity. At INFOhio, we believe that every Ohio student deserves the opportunity to learn from high-quality, standards-aligned instructional materials to become a resilient, lifelong learner who contributes to society.

In my free time, I enjoy reading. I also like to knit and crochet. You might find me doing a jigsaw puzzle. I also like to walk our park’s trail, looking for the residential crane. |

WHO INSPIRES YOU? WHY? My dad inspired me. He was a teacher and the first to go to college. He emphasized the importance of education, working hard, and doing our best. Watching him struggle with Parkinson’s Disease for years, I am inspired to make the most of each day and to appreciate life’s blessings. |

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT BEING AN ICOACH? I enjoy the excitement on the faces of staff members as I share the INFOhio resources and they connect the resources to their instructional needs for their students. I feel good about impacting student learning and seeing teachers using high-quality instructional materials. |

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE INFOHIO RESOURCE? WHY? There are so many to choose from! If I have to pick a favorite, I would choose ScienceFlix. I really like how the 80 units of study for middle school students can be browsed by topic. Also, I like how related careers for each topic can be explored. The teacher resources and tools are great too. |

DESCRIBE YOUR "BIGGEST WIN" THAT DEMONSTRATES HOW YOUR ROLE AS AN INFOHIO ICOACH AND INTEGRATION OF INFOHIO RESOURCES SUPPORTS INSTRUCTION, STUDENT LEARNING, OR EQUITY WITHIN YOUR SCHOOL. My biggest win as an ICoach was at the beginning of the school year. I was invited to share INFOhio resources at a neighboring rural school district on a staff professional development day. I saw this as a great opportunity to spread the word about INFOhio and the free, vetted resources available to students, teachers, and families. |
