Exchange Certified Trainer Program

The Exchange Certified Trainer (xCT) Program trains Education Service Center (ESC) and other education agency staff to help member districts identify high-quality instructional resources and integrate them into student curriculum. The program features quality tools, resources, and material reviews and draws on the current expertise of ESCs and their partners in delivering high-quality professional learning and the support of the Ohio Department of Education to accelerate learning and prepare students for future success.

Desired Outcomes of the Exchange Certified Trainer Program

Exchange Certified Trainers:

  • Collaborate with INFOhio and fellow Exchange Certified Trainers to help regional educators and service agencies identify materials and resources that overcome student learning obstacles and accelerate student learning and preparedness.
  • Use ongoing communication tools such as newsletters, meetings, and emails to promote these resources to a regional audience.
  • Provide targeted professional learning opportunities to support regional educators and agencies in integrating these services and resources into curriculum.

Benefits to Exchange Certified Trainer and Agency:

  • Certification as an authorized trainer after completing required training. This certification also demonstrates professional growth.
  • First notification about partner resource updates.
  • Connection to the trainer's online learning community to share ideas and training resources.
  • INFOhio promotion of Exchange Certified Trainers to schools and districts as a source for High-Quality Professional Learning.

Exchange Certified Trainer Application and Training

  • The educational agency staff member must be responsible for providing professional learning, instructional, or curriculum services and supports to member schools and districts.
  • The individual must complete INFOhio’s IPartner Program, which takes two hours, before submitting the Exchange Certified Trainer Intent to Participate form.

Preferred qualifications for Exchange Certified Trainers:

  • Experience supporting schools or districts with their evaluation and adoption of high-quality, digital, instructional materials.
  • Experience supporting inclusive curriculum.
  • Experience delivering deep, targeted professional learning opportunities to educators.

The Exchange Certified Trainer Program is funded through Future Forward Ohio.

Exchange Certified Trainer Plus Program

The content of the Exchange Certified Trainer Plus (xCT+) is the same as that of the Exchange Certified Trainer program, with the same desired outcomes. But in this version of the program, INFOhio also asks participants’ education agencies to report related sessions it offers to educators, as well as data that stem from those sessions. INFOhio shares the data with other program partners and the Ohio Department of Education to gauge program reach and impact.

Exchange Certified Trainer Plus Report Form

As the Ohio Department of Education and program partners seek to measure program reach and impact, INFOhio asks each participating agency to complete the Exchange Certified Trainer Plus Report form for each related professional-learning session it offers educators. INFOhio will monitor submitted forms and award stipends quarterly for reported sessions.

Submitting Feedback on Trainings:

Report your training feedback in this form to receive stipends. Please read the form in advance so you understand what you will be asked to report.
