Find INFOhio Resource Use Data for Your School or District

INFOhio retrieves monthly resource use data from our content providers. The content provider determines the specificity of the data. INFOhio is able to retrieve and provide school or district-level use data for the following content providers or sites:

  • BookFlix
  • ChiltonLibrary
  • Gale In Context: Elementary
  • INFOhio website logins
  • ISearch (INFOhio automated libraries)
  • Fetch (INFOhio automated libraries)
  • Storia
  • Transparent Language Online

INFOhio is unable to retrieve or provide school or district-level use data for the following content providers:

  • EBSCO
  • Highlights Library
  • Oxford
  • Science Online
  • World Book

In order to retrieve accurate use data for most resources, you or your ITC must provide accurate external IP addresses to INFOhio. Please contact support.infohio.org if you do not see your school or district in the use data for resources.

Additional Information About the Data

 BookFlix

  • BookFlix use data is available at the district level. Institutions are sorted by county.
  • BookFlix Sessions: A session is defined as a logout, browser close, or five minutes of inactivity.
  • BookFlix Documents Retrieved: Each page viewed is counted as a document. Each book, video, game, browse page, index page, curriculum correlation, educator resource, or link-out viewed is counted as a document retrieved.
  • BookFlix Contents Viewed: Each page viewed, excluding links to curriculum and educator resources and external resources.

 Storia

  • Storia use data is available at the school level. Institutions are sorted by county.
  • INFOhio focuses on Pages Read in determining the overall use of Storia.
  • Number of Teacher Access Codes Requested, Number of Teacher Accounts Activated, and Number of Students Rostered: Ongoing categories collected since the start of the school year.
  • Number of Student Log-ins: Represents the number of unique students that logged into Storia during that month.

ISearch

  • ISearch use data is available at the instance/library level. ISearch use data is available only for schools using INFOhio's Library Services Platform.
  • ISearch and Fetch Use Data Dashboard: Use the link to the dashboard at the top of the file list. Follow the directions on the dashboard to generate the stats you need.
  • Google Analytics Pageviews: Total number of times a page that has the Google Analytics tracking code inserted has been viewed. A pageview is roughly equivalent to the number of searches your users conduct in your instance of ISearch.
    • Repeated views of a single page are counted.
    • A pageview is generated each time a user lands on the homepage of your instance of ISearch or conducts a search in your instance of ISearch. A pageview is also generated as users view different pages of results.
    • A pageview is not generated each time a user clicks the View/Download button in ISearch or clicks a different tab (My Library, Basic Sources, Advanced Sources, etc.).

The use of discovery layers like ISearch can affect database and OPAC use data:

  • Combining multiple databases with the school catalog in a single search interface may result in fewer sessions and searches in individual databases and OPACs, but increased retrievals in multiple databases and increased circulation.

Fetch

  • Fetch use data is available at the instance/library level. Fetch use data is available only for schools using INFOhio's Library Services Platform.
A pageview is roughly equivalent to the number of searches your users conduct in your instance of Fetch.
    • Repeated views of a single page are counted.
    • A pageview is generated each time a user lands on the homepage of your instance of Fetch or conducts a search in your instance of Fetch. A pageview is also generated as users view different pages of results and when users view the details for an item.

  • Better result relevancy ranking results in fewer retrievals needed by the user to find content.
  • Direct links to documents from Google Classroom result in a decrease in searches and an increase in sessions and retrievals.
  • Downloaded documents living offline or online with Google result in fewer sessions, searches, and retrievals.
  • Printed documents living offline result in fewer sessions, searches, and retrievals.

INFOhio Website Logins
