Teaching with PebbleGo Next

Learning Objectives
  • Understand the importance of using digital text, print, and other media in a primary curriculum.
  • Identify best practices for using PebbleGo Next in the classroom.

Best Practices for Digital Reading

Reading on a screen is different from reading print. The INFOhio Early Literacy Task Force collected INFOhio's Best Practices for Digital Reading from journals, education publications, and research studies. Use these best practices to help students of all ages become readers who can comprehend, analyze, and evaluate screen text or book text. As you review the Best Practices for Digital Reading, think about what you already do when using digital text and what you may need to do.

Quality Instructional Materials - PebbleGo Next

Instructional materials matter, so it is important to closely examine the materials you use in your classroom. Ohio's Strategic Plan for Education states that "every Ohio student deserves the opportunity to learn from high-quality, standards-aligned instructional materials to become a resilient, lifelong learner who contributes to society."

INFOhio's Teach With INFOhio Blog features a blog series called Quality Instructional Materials that showcases our licensed resources evaluated using the Instructional Materials Rubric. Read the blog to discover how PebbleGo Next meets the criteria for Research-based Strategies, Standards Alignment, Usability, and Flexibility.
