Learning Objectives
  • Reflect on learning by sharing information with others.
Check Your Learning

Use this checklist to determine whether you have met the objectives of the class.

  • I understand the meaning of information literacy.
  • I can identify the parts of the information framework.
  • I can identify resources that will support information literacy.
  • I understand how to teach information literacy.
  • I can build relevant lesson plans from the resources in this class.

Reflecting on Your Learning

Now that you have learned about information literacy and how to share and teach about it in your library, answer the following questions in the INFOhio School Library Basics group in Open Space Look in the Discussions tab for the Reflecting on Information Literacy Learning post.

  1. What part of the class and its activities were most helpful in your understanding of the topic? Why?
  2. What part of the class could be better? What would you do to improve it? Why?
  3. What was the most important thing you learned from this class? What makes it important to you?

Extend the Learning

Now that you have completed the training, make sure the learning doesn't stop. Consider these questions:

  1. What worked/didn't work? How will you replicate the success or correct the problem the next time you teach an information literacy skill in your library?
  2. Which materials you learned about in the training will you use the most to teach information literacy in your library?
  3. What are two pieces of advice you would give to a fellow librarian who wants to help students succeed in becoming information literate?
