SirsiDynix Migration
FAQs - OPAC

My students are effective CAT and CAT Jr. searchers. When we migrate, can we keep the CATs?

Yes, INFOhio will continue to use our CAT/CAT Jr. interface as the patron OPAC for the SirsiDynix product. INFOhio has incorporated several requested features -- Patron Account access, Reading Program searches, Visual Search and Content Enrichment -- into CAT and/or CAT Jr. INFOhio believes this approach causes minimum impact on training while providing maximum benefits to patrons and library staff.

Content enrichment is value-added content or information including book reviews, tables of contents, book jackets, author biographies and first chapters that is maintained by SirsiDynix or its partners and is displayed as bibliographic records are retrieved. Content Enrichment is an optional feature for an additional library charge. Contact your ITC provider for additional details. (Posted: February 10, 2003)

Frequently asked questions and answers regarding the migration to SirsiDynix WorkFlows have been compiled by the Migration Advisors Team. If you don't find the information you are looking for here, please contact the INFOhio Support Staff at your regional ITC or e-mail support@infohio.org.
