What is the timeline and phases of database cleanup? Phase 1 : Winter 2002/Spring 2003 (Library/DASite/INFOhio staff) Librarians with the guidance and assistance of DASite and INFOhio staff will:
Librarians will be provided reports and instructions for Phase 1a Item cleanup and Phase 1b Bib cleanup. Please Note: Duplicate records will be addressed in a later Phase using automated processes. Phase 2 : Winter 2002 / Fall 2003 (Library/DASite/INFOhio staff) Librarians will identify their unique cataloging practices regarding:
DASite staff, with INFOhio, will identify items that can be adjusted programmatically, such as:
Librarians, DASite staff or INFOhio may identify other issues that need to be addressed. Phase 3 : On-going 2002 - 2003 (DASite/INFOhio Staff) INFOhio, with DASite assistance, and library consultation will programmatically adjust database records):
Please Note: Adjustments will be made only with the knowledge and approval of the library staff. Phase 4 : On-going 2002 - 2004 (DASite/INFOhio Staff) INFOhio, with DASite assistance, and library consultation will determine and adjust MultiLIS fields appropriately for the Sirsi Unicorn product.
