Legislator Building Visits
| Building visits by Ohio legislators have proven successful in past years,
helping decision-makers understand elements of the budget they need to adopt. Here are
some points to consider in planning your own event: |

Ohio's budget is so large, and INFOhio's part so small, legislators can
find it difficult to understand how INFOhio helps students and teachers. Building visits
can put faces on INFOhio, the faces of students and teachers using INFOhio resources in
their day-to-day lives. |

|
|
Invite your legislators to visit your building during his/her next work
session in the district. Make sure activities are happening that highlight INFOhio
resources and how you are helping students and teachers make use of them. |

|
|
Thank legislators for the support INFOhio has received in the past and how
such support has served your students and teachers. |
|
|
|
Make a special effort to invite new legislators, those who may not have
heard much about INFOhio. |
|
|
|
Invite the local media. Provide reporters with background information,
including appropriate information from this site. |
|
|
|
Take digital photos to submit to
INFOhio for a scrapbook on the INFOhio Web site. |
