OHIONET membership services available through INFOhio

OHIONET is a not-for-profit membership organization that provides technology solutions and cooperative programs for all types of libraries to help control costs, increase cooperation and gain access to the exploding amount of digital information. Since its founding in 1977, OHIONET has worked closely with OCLC to offer libraries outstanding support and training for OCLC's cataloging, interlibrary loan and reference services. After more than 30 years of growth, OHIONET now offers a variety of services from which INFOhio-automated schools can benefit.

Cataloging services
OCLC WorldCat - an Expanded Cataloging Service for INFOhio-automated schools

School libraries that are not automated with INFOhio may subscribe to CatExpress through OHIONET and will retrieve exported records directly from OCLC's Web site (rather than the INFOhio Web site). OHIONET will provide support to member schools. Contact the help desk at 800-686-8975, ext. 10, memserv@ohionet.org.

Product discounts
INFOhio-automated K-12 schools may take advantage of several OHIONET-negotiated vendor discounts for members. To see information about new offers, visit OHIONET's What's New page.

Training services
Staff of INFOhio-automated K-12 schools may attend OHIONET training sessions at member rates. Registrations should be made through OHIONET. Indicate K-12 status and INFOhio affiliation to receive the member rates.

Training sessions, workshops and other programs are held frequently at OHIONET's training center in Columbus and other locations. In addition, several online options are available. Topics include cataloging, copyright, Internet searching and subject guides, network security and current issues in librarianship.

K-12 schools who are not automated with INFOhio may contact Jill Boggs Brust for information about OHIONET membership.
